Let’s suppose that the seller and buyer intend to use a platform (for example, BOLERO or ICE) in order to manage a documentary credit. First of all the seller and buyer should check that on a technical point of view, the issuing bank can work with the chosen platform. On top of that, the buyer and the seller should agree to issue the L/C by adding the following terms and conditions: - The L/C is subject to eUCP2.1 - Electronic presentation shall be effected through ….. BOLERO platform (name of the platform)….. - Each document may be presented either as a paper document or as an electronic record (this clause is not compulsory, but it will facilitate the presentation of the documents if one document cannot be issued under the form of an electronic record) - Scanned copy of ….certificate of origin….. in a pdf format acceptable (if the seller would like to have the possibility to present one document (for example, the certificate of origin) in a simple pdf format through the platform Please let me have your advice.
