Latest Question
Documents under LC issued by us have been sent in 2 mails (LC does not mention about the same). We have received the first mail with 2 originals of each document including bill of lading. However, one shipping company certificate regarding free time allowed at port of discharge has not been received in the first mail. The presenting bank's covering schedule states that documents are credit complying. 1. Should we wait for the second mail or quote discrepancy that SCC is not presented? 2. Has the examination period begun for us or we should wait for the second mail? 3. Since the LC did not mention about sending documents in one or more lot(s) should a nominated bank or confirming bank still take the risk of sending documents in one or more lot(s)? 4. If the LC allowed presenting documents in two lots, still 1 original of every document should be sent which in this case has not happened. Is it correct understanding?
