Problem With Salutation, Group Information & Newsletter Preference Data Required From Customers.
If we shop as a guest but later choose the option at check out to register for an account for future use we do get asked for our title/salutation but we are not asked to say what group(s) we belong to. We also do not get to make a newsletter preference.
So we need to combine the registration method from 1 & 3 below to get ALL the customer data we need.
There are 3 points at which a customer can give name & address & group interest details & newsletter preference, the data given varies depending on which route the customer chooses:
1. Choosing to register for an account before purchasing (currently no salutation info. gathered).
2. Making a guest purchase only (obviously no username or password or groups info. or newsletter preference is required).
3. Making a guest purchase but then accepting the offer to open an account for future use (currently no group information gathered or newsletter preference is required).
